Morning Reflection

Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Thought for the Day:  God Knows All Things; We Know So Little

Reflection for the Day:  Listening Offers Greater Value Than Speaking

Solomon cautions us about speaking too quickly, as well as too often.  Unfortunately, an excess of words are often uttered by the unwise without regard to the one that knows all.  Wisdom teaches us that listening is of greater value than speaking.

Throughout scripture we are taught the importance of being a listener.  Commit yourself to being one that hears; give yourself to hearing both the Lord and other people rather than speaking too quickly.  Remind yourself, that while God knows everything, we know so little.
