Just for You...

Thursday, May 28, 2020

Acts 2:38-39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Thought for the Day: The Promise Continues Until This Day

Reflection for the Day: No One Is Left Out Of God’s Plan

About one hundred and twenty of the followers of the Lord entered into the Upper Room, awaiting to receive the promise of the Holy Ghost. As the Spirit sat upon each one of them they began to worship the Lord in other tongues. Those who had come to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost wanted to know more about what they were witnessing. Peter stood up and began to share the message. He declared that what they had witnessed was of God and was available for all to receive, both then and for those that would come later. The Holy Ghost was for all to receive.

As we serve the Lord today, we are blessed to recognize that God’s Spirit is for all to receive. There are no restrictions as to who can receive the Holy Ghost. The only criteria given by Peter was repentance and water baptism. We need not be fearful as to who we might witness to; the Holy Ghost has no limits. No one is left out of God’s plan.
