Morning Reflection

Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Thought for the Day: Every Journey Is Not For Everyone

Reflection for the Day: When God Calls We Are To Respond

Naomi, her husband, and their two sons left Jerusalem escaping the famine, searching for food. They settled in the land of the Moabites. Her two sons, after they had married, and husband all died. Naomi, hearing that the famine had past, chose to return to Jerusalem. Her two daughters-in law, who both loved her, wanted to return with her. When Naomi shared why they should remain, Orpah obeyed, but Ruth insisted on remaining with Naomi. Orpah harkened to the call of her mother-in-law, while Ruth responded to what God placed into her spirit. The journey was not for everyone.

Every child of God has a journey but every journey is not the same. The key is two fold. First, you must walk close enough to the Lord to hear His voice and second, when He calls, you must harken to His voice. Every journey is not for everyone but when God calls your name, respond.
