Acts 12:14-15 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so.

Reflection for the Day: Stand Firm In What You Know

These verses show two different responses to what God has done. The church prayed for Peter, but when God moved on their behalf, most struggled to believe when they were told. In the midst of the doubt, there was one who refused to be persuaded by the others. She knew what she saw; and would not believe otherwise. She stood firm in what she saw.

Praying without believing is unwise. Be firm in your faith as you seek the blessings of the Lord. As He blesses, let nobody cause you to doubt. As God moves on your behalf, simply give Him the praise. You asked and He responded.
