Reflection for the Day: The Word Must Be Rightly Divided

Within God’s Word, we find truth that, when followed, leads us to where the Lord would have us. It brings us into a life that honors Him, with His hand resting upon those who seek to please Him. Paul, knowing the importance of the truth, reminded Timothy of the need for the Word to be rightly divided. It is not enough to read it; it must be understood and applied correctly.

Too often, the Word is read but not truly studied, which leads to choices that are not in line with God’s will. You must take time to read prayerfully and study carefully so you can be assured you are rightly dividing His Word. When you study with that intent, you will be a workman that needeth not to be ashamed.
