John 9:1–3 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Thought for the Day: Every Problem Is Not the Result of Sin

Reflection for the Day: Your Deliverance Is Coming

The disciples were convinced that every problem had to be traced back to sin. When they saw a man blind from birth, they assumed someone had done something wrong. They asked the Lord who was responsible—the man or his parents. Jesus made it clear: neither. It was not the result of anyone’s sin, but that the work of the Lord might be manifested. What appeared to be a lifelong condition became the setting for a miracle. The man received his sight.

As you walk with God, remember that every hardship is not the result of sin. There are seasons the Lord allows, not to punish, but that His works might be manifested in you. Do not allow guilt or the opinions of others to weigh you down. Stand firm in your faith and trust His purpose. What you are facing is not the end of your story. Remain confident—deliverance is coming.
