Thought for the Day: Attacks Are Coming; You Must Be Prepared

Reflection for the Day: Prayer, Fasting, And The Word Are A Must

Following His baptism, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. After forty days of fasting, He was tempted by the devil. Every attack was answered with the Word; there was no hesitation and no compromise. Jesus did not begin preparing when the temptation came; He was already prepared. He was full of the Holy Ghost and grounded in the Word. Because He was prepared, He was victorious.

You must understand that attacks will come. The enemy will endeavor to wear you down and cause you to compromise. Victory will not be found in last-minute preparation. It is vital that, through prayer, fasting, and a continual commitment to God’s Word, you remain prepared for his attacks. Preparation must begin now, not after the attacks have already started. Victory will not be accidental; it will be the result of preparation.
