1 Samuel 1:13-15  Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.

Thought for the Day: Pray Like It Matters, God Will Respond.

Reflection for the Day: If
Your Prayer Doesn't Move You, Why Should It Move God?

Year after year, Hannah petitioned the Lord for a child. Each year that her request was not granted she was disappointed, but nothing could stop her prayer.  With fervency she cried out. Hannah's request meant too much to her to be deterred. Her determination was rewarded.  Hannah gave birth to Samuel.

How much does your request mean to you? If it doesn't matter much to you, why should it matter to  God. With determination, and expectation, pour out your soul before the Lord. Pray like it matters, God will respond.
